Curriculum Outline for International Student Programs Home > Program

he Business English Certificate Program (4 or 8 weeks) and Diploma Program (12 weeks) are designed to provide students with market competitiveness and to develop skills needed to work effectively in today's business world. The program consists of business concepts which are supported with Internet research, team building activities, dynamic participation and critical thinking. Throughout the course students develop their writing styles and interpret business articles, company reports and case studies. The media is also a key component of this comprehensive program. Students will be analyzing different forms of the media and stress is placed on being aware of current business issues in the market place. Omnicom Business English students also participate in Business Seminars and workshops to experience first hand the Canadian corporate structure.
The BEC Preparation component of our Business English Programs was added to meet the growing demand for language tests with a specialised focus. Authentic business communications, including emails, memos, and telephone conversations, are used to reinforce all three sections of the Cambridge test: Reading / Writing, Listening, and Speaking. Test tips and sample questions will allow students to prepare themselves for the challenges of the BEC Preliminary Exam.
