programS // TORONTO SCHOOL

Students assessed at the advance level or higher, can enrol in our TOEFL iBT Preparation Program. In the program, students will equally focus on the different sections of the test including reading, listening, speaking and writing. The program will develop general English language skills to aide in performance on the TOEFL iBT test. Students have the opportunity to practice for the test using simulating software. The TOEFL iBT class also focuses on building general English skills with a particular emphasis on improving reading skills and vocabulary from context. The class makes use of a wide variety of sources from the media (newspapers, magazines, TV, movies), the internet and other specialized supplementary texts. This approach gives students a good balance between TOEFL- specific preparation and general academic English preparation.
